Crossroads Community Serve Sunday (Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024)

Option 1: Serving at Salvation Army Food Pantry Drop-in

 Time: 10am-12pm

What to know and expect: For this option, arrive at the Salvation Army (45746 Yale Rd) back parking lot for 10:00am and meet as a group there. Look for Pastor Kyle and Andrew Loewen, as they will be heading up this option. Once together, we will give out further set up and service instructions. We will be helping run the Food Pantry drop in from 10:30am-11:30am. We will also set up a treat station tent outside for handouts and a smile/conversation.

SIGN UP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS OPTION, as we can facilitate 25 people total: Please CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP

For the kids: There will be no childcare provided for this option, but kids/youth are welcome to attend. Please be aware that the environment is safe, however language and conduct of patrons can be “colorful”

What to bring: Dress for the weather and we are looking for CCC people to bring donations for the food pantry (Anything is welcomed, but bread and dairy items are usually low) and “individually” wrapped treats/baking for the snack giveaway station.

Option 2: Presentation from Sardis Doorway (www.sardisdoorway.com ) and putting together Christmas care packages packs/optional prayer walk

 Time: 10:30am-12pm

What to know and expect: This option will be at Vedder Middle School in the multipurpose room from 10:30-12pm. We will have guest speak Christina Barkman coming to share from Sardis Doorway. We will then be putting together Christmas care packages for the women and teens. Approx. 55 is needed. Depending on time, we will provide the option of a prayer walk around our community.

For the kids: Nursery will be provided for the entire time, along with a kidzone (k-gr.5) option.

What to bring: We are looking for donations of Diapers size 4, 5 or 6, Pull Ups, wipes, and formula. Please bring as you are able.
